About Me
Hello and welcome!
My name is Jesse, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I am a clinical mental health counseling intern dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space where you can feel respected, heard, and understood. Life can be complex, and many of us face challenges that can feel overwhelming to handle on our own. Working collaboratively, we can explore concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, anger, relationship struggles, masking, navigating neurodivergence, substance use, addictive behaviors, or your next steps in life. I have an interest in supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+, from adolescence to older adulthood. I use a blended therapeutic approach in counseling, which combines an intersectional foundation with Adlerian principles to provide a comprehensive, individualized approach to sessions.
An intersectional foundation acknowledges that identities are multifaceted. Factors such as ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, culture, and spirituality/religion intersect and shape your sense of self, experiences, and overall well-being. Adlerian principles emphasize how past experiences, relationships, and personal beliefs influence your sense of belonging and life direction. I use evidence-based interventions such as CBT and DBT to help challenge fixed beliefs and help build coping skills, self-awareness, and self-regulation. Together, we focus on what matters to you. You are the expert of your goals, values, and vision for your life. I am here to help support you on the journey so you can move forward with greater clarity, self-acceptance, and confidence in being your authentic self.
