About Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Meghan, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m excited to partner with you in working towards your goals and building the life you want to live. I work with youth and young adults tackling struggles like anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, grief, and trauma. My background is primarily in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) woven in.

Mental health does not exist in a vacuum; it influences and is influenced by our social, economic, political, and natural environment. I use a holistic, person-in-environment approach, which centers your needs, experiences, and strengths. The fact that you are here means that you have survived everything life has thrown at you, and I want to build on that innate resilience to reduce suffering and increase joy.

I believe strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship to drive change and growth, and am deeply committed to building trust and safety within the therapy space. I hold both lived and professional experience in the LGBTQ+, disabled, and neurodivergent communities, and aspire to create a therapeutic space in which you can show up as your fullest and most authentic self. In practice, that includes accommodating sensory needs as much as possible, supporting exploration of names and pronouns in session, and incorporating aspects of your unique familial and cultural experience into our work together. Therapy can be hard work, and it is my goal to support you in that work however I can.
